Interviewing: Building confidence to clinch the job you want! - Be Prepared: Go on the website and find out as much as you can about the company you are interviewing with
- Come up with questions you would ask the interviewer, and ones you think they might ask you so you will be prepared to answer
- Dress to Impress: formal and professional: overall be neutral
- Guys: ties, white shirts
- Ladies, appropriate, do not bring attention to any part of your body, light jewelry, light makeup
- You never get a chance to make a first impression: eye contact, smile, look good, confident, formal handshake
- During the interview:
- think it as a first date, interested in each other
- BE HONEST
- Don’t talk to much, don’t ramble with answering questions, they will not get the main topic of your answer
- Be positive, never give a negative answer (ex. reason for leaving your last job)
- After the interview: write Thank-You letters, thanking the interviewer for their time and look forward to hearing from them again and working for the company (can be formal hand written or an Email)
