For 2006 - 2007, CEO has seen significant growth in nearly every dynamic of the organization. With many dedicated members who brought unmatched energy and enthusiasm to our group, CEO achieved things that were unimaginable just a year ago.
The following is a list of some of our greatest achievements from this past year:• Created CEO Business Plan complete with Competitive Analysis, Financial Strategies, Leadership Roles and Organization Culture. • Became second largest group at Bryant with over 80 paid members • Boosted attendance at meetings to an average of nearly 50 members each Thursday • Brought 35 students to the CEO National Conference in Chicago • Raised over $12,000 for the students to attend the CEO National Conference • Matt Wilson 08’, named Best Chapter President at CEO National Conference • Organized the Bryant Pumpkin Fest in support of the Life Is Good Pumpkin Fest, which became the largest co-sponsored event on campus for the second year in a row • Helped break the world record for most carved pumpkins with over 1,200: Bryant University’s name made the front page article of the Boston Globe • Hosted the co-founders of Life Is Good keynote speech to a 400+ person crowd. • Co-Sponsored the Purple Cow Competition won by our own member, Brandon Dobro • Bronze Medal winners in the Homecoming Banner Competition • Developed the Event Management Team which includes Project Management Teams and an incredibly detailed system of execution through our Event Guidebooks. • Extended leadership roles to members through the development of chair positions including: International Relations, Membership, Public Relations, Marketing, Video/Photo Team, Information Technology and Sponsorship. • Helped gain support for the development of an Entrepreneurship Minor at Bryant • Organized two of the world’s largest Elevator Pitch Competitions for both Fall and Spring semesters • Launched committee’s focused on creating a CEO Chapter Business and CEO Directive Study Research Programs. • Plastered CEO’s name everywhere on campus and created an incredible buzz about entrepreneurship and CEO. • Increased CEO’s budget by $6,500. • Won Student Senates Organization of the Month October 2006. • Created total team empowerment throughout CEO through our Executive Board, Committee Chairpeople, Committee Members and General Members, with a strong focus on leadership succession and knowledge transfer. |
